  TLDR; I love coming here and ordering the bento sets for lunch. They give so much food and I usually have leftovers for the next day.
  
  The place has a small parking lot but it's never full, which surprises me. I feel like the food here is good enough to generate a steady crowd but at least I never have had to wait long to get my food.
  
  I always get the chicken teriyaki bento box. It comes with miso soup, salad, rice, 4 pieces of California roll, a variety of tempura items, and chicken teriyaki. With the tempura items, you get a shrimp, zucchini, onion, yam, asparagus, and broccoli. The chicken is cut into thin slices and they drizzle a good amount of teriyaki sauce onto it.
  
  If you can't finish your food, I recommend finishing the tempura and rice items since those won't be as good as leftovers. Sit at the sushi bar to get some pickled cucumbers too!
  
  The amount of food that comes with the bento box is insane and that's what keeps bringing me back. It also helps that the food itself tastes good.

  Came for dinner before Humphrey's concert today on 8/7.  Prior we've only eaten during lunch.  Food was still good but service was subpar and it wasn't even busy.  The hostess was very terse and unfriendly towards us--observed she was friendly with others.  Not sure what we did to deserve the cold treatment except patronize their establishment.  Not feeling welcomed so maybe this will be our last time here.  Sad...it takes so little to be welcoming and friendly to those who want to see good restaurants succeed.
  
  Previous review:  Our friend/client brought us to this place and was so delighted she did!  The bento box we tried (beef rib and teriyaki salmon) and Sushi were delicious, fresh and generous portions!  The ambiance was very pleasant and clean!  The service seems okay and friendly; having ample parking is big plus!! We loved it and will return very very soon!  
  
  Have been here many many more times since writing the above but sat in my pending review.  Apologies.  But, my review remains the same 5 star!  Umi sushi is one of my favorite sushi place!  Delicious, fresh sushi, and generous portion!  Our regular place to go to!  Definitely recommend to anyone who love sushI.

  Just had an awful experience today with the service. -1 star for service from the older server who had trouble with English. She stood there staring blankly at us with her mouth gaped open while I tried to explain we were ordering in a certain direction so the order wouldn't get confused since one of our table members did not get a menu and did not know what he wanted to order (yes poor service, not enough menus for a table of 8) and I repeated a few times until a coworker got upset.
  
  Food is good here but with service this bad, I'm not coming back unless my boss forces me to.
  
  Thanks Umi for hiring a server that can't do their job and ruining relations between our team.

  This was place was great. Plenty of parking. We walked in and got seated right away. We were a group of 10 including children and the staff were very accommodating and understanding. The food came out in a timely manner and everything was delicious. Presentation was great and the prices were decent for the quality and taste. I would definitely recommend this sushi spot for people in the area. I believe I ordered the kamikaze roll and i love seafood so it was nice to have such a huge portion of crab and crawfish on top of my sushi. I ordered fried calamari and it was perfectly cooked but I did not enjoy the tartar sauce so I dipped it in soy sauce instead and it went well together. Strawberry Nigori sake was amazingly delicious!! It was my friend's bday and they gave her a complimentary matcha ice cream sundae I thought was very kind and thoughtful of them to do. Overall pleased with this place and would return in the future!

  I've been dining here for years and unfortunately I think the quality has declined a bit and the service has always been poor. The lady who works the lunch shift is never very friendly at all. She acts like she'd rather be any place but there an not once has she ever even cracked a smile. She will also stand at the end of the sushi counter and stare at your table while you are eating. It's weird and uncomfortable. I get that maybe that's her being at the ready in case someone needs something but instead of standing there she should casually walk by the tables every few minutes to check on them or be close by so someone can wave her over for help. The men behind the counter do greet you as you come in and leave and they do have good lunch specials.
